Housing & Parking

Housing: We encourage you to arrange for housing in Winston-Salem, NC as soon as possible. Visit the housing web page for a full list of the options available to graduate students. While housing is fairly inexpensive and readily available in Winston Salem, it is important to begin the search early in order to have a variety of options.

Parking: If you will be using a car while you are here and plan on driving to school, you must have a parking permit. Parking permits are of a limited availability and sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Information on parking procedures for students can be found here. You should particularly review the Commuter Student Vehicle Registration Information (registration dates for fall 2018 semester will be available in the coming months). Typically, registration opens two or three weeks before the first day of classes. Students will log in to claim their parking spaces at that time and pay the parking fees. There are a limited number of parking spaces reserved for law students and they tend to be claimed quickly, so you will need to be prepared.
